Basketball has 5 positions and they are: Point guard, Shooting guard, Small forward, Power forward, and Center. Jobs of these positions

Point guard: The job of the point guard is to run the team. This is the person who brings the ball up the court. they just basically run the offense.

Shooting Guard: This is the best shooter on the team. There job is to score.

Small Forward/Power forward: There job is to rebound and to score. 

Center; The center is always the tallest person on the court. There job is to score. they are also the most important part of the defense
