Please join me and the District 97 school board for our first community learning session: Student Choice, Voice, and Agency. During this session, D97 students, teachers, and administrators will share information and examples of how students are directing their own learning and working with their peers on real-world tasks that are culturally relevant and socially significant.
Please come hear our staff and students describe how Student Choice, Voice, and Agency are supporting the work we do on a daily basis to help our children learn, grow and achieve. They will also highlight the important role that Student Choice, Voice, and Agency play in the following activities:
- IEP goal setting
- Third grade math enrichment units
- The work of the Technology Advisory Team
These sessions, which are scheduled to occur on a monthly basis, will provide community members with an opportunity to learn more about the activities and initiatives being undertaken to help create a positive learning environment for all students that is equitable, inclusive and focused on the whole child.
