District 97 ListServ – How to Use It

Beye School PTO uses District 97’s email distribution list process (a LISTSERV for you techies) to send out our irregularly produced BeyeBytes updates. BeyeBytes is a companion email to our Beyestander that includes more timely updates on events at Beye School. The LISTSERV email distribution list is securely maintained by District 97; only District 97 has access to the names and emails on the list.

Follow these simple guidelines to sign-up to receive news from the Beye School PTO and staff. We promise to use this distribution only occasionally for real news – we won’t spam you!

To Subscribe:

Send an email to majordomo@smtpgate1.op97.org and include the words subscribe BeyePTO in the BODY of the email; leave the subject line blank and delete any automatic signatures attached to your email.

The LISTSERV will respond with a message that contains a line you must include in a subsequent email BODY that approves the subscription — you can type or cut-n-paste this into a reply to the LISTSERV. This feature minimizes accidental and/or "malicious" attacks on the server. You’ll then receive a confirmation email welcoming you.
