May I stay for the entire meeting?
You are most welcome to stay for the entire meeting! This is your opportunity to see the board in action, to hear the dialogue, and to witness program and policy decisions in the making. (Be prepared to stay late! The District 97 board is known for lively debate and discussion!)

It is sometimes necessary for the board to adjourn an open meeting to go into executive session. These meetings are private, and limited by law to matters regarding personnel issues, student discipline, litigations, and/or land acquisitions. For audience convenience, executive sessions are generally held before or after the business of the regular board meeting has been completed.
