What happens at board meetings?
The superintendent serves as the board’s chief executive officer, managing day-to-day operations in accordance with board policies and state mandates. Board meetings provide the superintendent time to report on the progress of the district, present initiatives, showcase programs, and make recommendations to the board.

Also, District 97 policies, programs, and expenditures are discussed and voted on in this open forum. Exceptions to this rule are regulated by state law, and include personnel issues, student discipline, litigation, and/or land acquisitions.
