WHEREAS the Oak Park Elementary School District 97 is committed to
maintaining an effective and attractive school district within a budget
that will protect the district's long term fiscal health; and
WHEREAS to this end the board actively sought the participation of
the best financial minds of the community to examine every aspect of
district operations; and
WHEREAS the board convened a Finance Task Force comprised of these
community volunteers and District 97 staff with the charge of identifying
non-prioritized recommendations for possible revenue increases and
expenditure reductions; and
WHEREAS the board has accepted the report of the Finance Task Force
as a thorough and significant working document;
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it Resolved by the Board of Education that the
Finance Task Force Report shall be included in the deliberations and
in the process of establishing the financial framework for the district
for the next three to five years.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Education make public and
a permanent record of the history of the Oak Elementary Schools its
profound gratitude and appreciation for the work of the Finance Task
Force.
