The
Oak Park Education Foundation’s William C. Staszak Award Dinner and evening
of festivities this year honored John Hedges, who through many
years of community service demonstrated his humanitarian spirit, devotion
and service to the children of District 97. Among the featured
auction items were functional art pieces painted by students at all
10 District 97 schools, under the direction of their art teachers.
The Oak Park Education Foundation currently funds Global Village (visiting
scientist program), Art Start (visiting artist program), and the Vex Robotics
Teams at both middle schools. Our mission is to develop and fund, through
non-tax revenues, enrichment programs that would not otherwise be offered
to Oak Park elementary and middle school students. |
