Shinning Souls

By Isabelia H.

I wonder what a soul is. How do you describe it?
Someone's essence? Their persona? Their "them"?
I say a soul is who you are on the inside, not who you show.
I can pretend to be anyone I like on the outside,
but only I know who I really am.

Do souls have color?
Can you describe someone's personality by a color?
Or do you need more detailed explanations?
Shades? Tones? Textures? Depths?

Can only words describe someone's soul?
Words are so easy to manipulate!
I can spin them around to hide my true self.
The question is, do I want to?

I guess all you can say about souls
is that people have them. Or do they?
Can you draw souls? Illustrate their surroundings,
their markings?

What about movement? Souls have to move, don't they?
They have to let out the "themness" once in a while, right?
When someone acts, sings, dances, writes,
paints, completes a goal, and invents a product,
that soul is shining.
Let it shine!
