In the Cold

By Madelyn T

I walked around in the cold. I could see the snow falling.

I could see the snow holding onto each other like a family giving a group hug.

The snow melted in my mouth, it tasted like a raindrop.

I was alone.

In the cold.

Nobody was near.

The only things that I could hear and feel were snow and wind hitting me hard.

They were like icicles falling in the eye of darkness.

I was trying to stay as strong as an ant carrying a heavy seed on its back.

Not letting go of my dream.

I wanted to stay and watch the nature.

I did not want to leave.

But I had to leave. It was too cold for me.
