Summer Student Empowerment Program  

Summer Student Empowerment is a program for middle school students that begins on June 11th and goes through July 26th.  This 2-day per week program will meet from 12:30 to 3:30 PM at Julian and Brooks middle schools as follows:   

1.    Incoming 6th graders will meet at Julian on Mondays 12:30 - 3:30 PM and at Brooks on Wednesdays 12:30 - 3:30 PM.  (This 2-day per week program is designed for students to participate both days.)  

2.    6th graders going into 7th, and 7th graders going into 8th will meet at Julian on Tuesdays 12:30 - 3:30 PM and at Brooks on Thursdays 12:30 - 3:30 PM.  (This 2-day per week program is designed for students to participate both days.)  

Hear guest speakers; participate in workshops; get tips for success from high school and college students; boost your organizational, study, math and reading skills; participate in fitness and nutrition activities,; play chess, CSI and other games;  participate in recreational activities (basketball, rope jumping and other activities);  participate in "Destination College" and related field trips; participate in service-learning projects;  earn points toward prizes

  There are no participation fees!!!
