Kathleen
Priceman of the Partial Spanish Immersion Program (PSIP) at Lincoln
School and Dawn Fogle Deaton of Elementary World Language Program
(FLES) outline where language education has been, where it is,
and where it is going in relation to the emerging strategic plan
for District 97.
The World Language Advisory Committee (WLAC) is charged with
advocating for and advising on district policy related to elementary
language programs. Comprised of teachers, administrators, board
members, and parents, the WLAC provides a forum for discussions
and language related work at the district level. It also embraces
the wider in-curricular & extra-curricular language communities,
linking the continuum of related educational practices from elementary
through high school.
