This is a copy from part of the torah. Notice the little dots and lines. Those are a vowels and "Trope" or "instructions" for chanting. In the Torah, they are not there, only the letters.
This is one of the letters. It is the letter "hey." In Hebrew, we read from right to left instead of like in English which is left to right. If you look at the very first letter on the top right, you can see that this letter is the same. The hey is equivilent to the English letter, "H."
