In Italia ci sono dei Carnevali molto famosi, ad esempio quello di Venezia, o quello di Viareggio. Durante i giorni del Carnevale, in queste cittý, si festeggia con maschere, carri che raffigurano personaggi famosi, coriandoli e stelle filanti. In Italy there are famous Carnivals just like the one in Venice, or the one in Viareggio. During the days of the Carnival, in these cities, there are festivals with masks, floats that represent famous people, coriandoli and stars.   PANTALONE . Maschera veneziana; rappresenta il mercante veneto, vecchio e avido. La sua maschera si Ë poi trasformata in un burbero padre di famiglia. Veneziana mask; it represents the Veneto merchant, old and eager. Its mask then transformed into father of family.

PULCINELLA Pulcinella Ë originario di Acerra, un paese vicino Napoli. Personaggio simpatico e spiritoso. Si veste sempre con una casacca bianca, uguale al cappello, e porta sul viso una maschera nera. Ha una voce stridula,  somiglia a quella di un pulcino, da cui deriva il suo nome "Pulcinella". Likeable and spirited person. Costume always with is white, as is the hat, and dthere is a black mask. It has a voice high and scratchy, similar to that of a chick, from which comes its name " Pulcinella ".
