La Befana vien di notte...

On January 6th, at night, an old and poor lady called Befana  flies on a broom and delives  presents  to the good children, ash and coal to the nasty ones.

The name of Befana is a corruption of  Epiphany, the last day of Christmas time, when
the three Wise Men
offered their presents to the  Christ Infant Jesus.
