Japan has a strong appreciation for beauty, as suggested by the flower, the chrysanthemum (which is on the Imperial crest), yet a fiery spirit represented by the samurai sword. Throughout its history, the arts flourished, and even the mightiest of warriors was expected write poetry, even at the moment before his death.
Welcome to the flower show in Akashi city park/Hyogo. In the fall many towns in Japan have a flower show just like this. The one in Arkashi is celebrating it's 74th year. People work hard, with much attention to detail, to create the perfect flower, and display it in the show.
