There are a few variations of the piano. There's the Klavier, the organ and some others. But the most well-known is the piano. The piano makes it's sound when the musician's fingers hit the keys. The keys are attached to hammers which strike strings in the soundbox. The piano falls into two musical categories: percussion and strings. Pianists choose piano as their instrument for many reasons. One reason might be that the piano is one of the easiest instruments to learn to read music on. The keys of the piano go in order like the notes on the staff.
