Pemayangjien: the Goddess of Music from Tibet

October 30, 2004 Pemayangjien gave a talk and sang in the Inami Town Hall. It was an Inami school event. Pemayagjien is a Tibetan singer who studied western opera, but later found the special beauty in the songs of Tibet. She went to Japan in 1994. She sings traditional Tibetan songs and talks about the people of Tibet and has organized an association to help promote the building of schools in Tibet.

She is married and lives in Osaka. Each summer she and her husband travel to Tibet for 3 months to see the 5 schools that have already been built and to look for places to build more schools.
