The Altai Mountains

Altai Mountains is a favourite place of many students from our lyceum and many people from our city. It is not very far from Novosibirsk, only one night by train.

It is ecologically clean place and fresh air. Tourism is developing there now. Recently more and more foreigners have started to visit this place. There are many bases for tourists. Anyone can choose the length of the rest and activities. In summer people can go to several days’ horse riding tours in mountains or tours on foot. People can do rafting in fast mountains rivers. This activity is only for good trained. Or people can only enjoy wonderful nature and visit caves.

In winter people do snowboarding, mountain skiing or tobogganing. There are many different skiing bases. People can choose the mountain to their sport skills.

In winter we have a special train from Novosibirsk to Altai. It goes there for the weekend. Many classes from our school use this train. It is cheap and has discounts for groups.

We invite everyone to enjoy Altai Mountains, one of the nature gems of Russia.
