Herman Mountain

Israel is not a very rainy country; the rain is not a very common thing, and when the eye of a person sees a flake of snow, Israel almost goes out of one's way. But on the HERMON Mountain the status is different. The HERMON is not only the highest mountain in Israel; it is the highest in Middle East. The snow falls down in the months November until March, and can hold on even in May, when big parts of Israel are under a heat wave.

In the middle of the summer, when the ordinary Israeli person complains about the terrible heat, the weather in the HERMON can be to 15 degrees less; and when in the middle of the country the only plants are dry thorns on this mountain the bloom is in her peak.

I like the HERMON Mountain because;

  • It is special; you can't find in Israel a place like that.
  • I like a lot snow and cold, and the HERMON is the only place in Israel that you can feel these things in real strength.
  • The HERMON is the only place in Israel that you can learn skiing, to ride on sleds on a snowy slope, and do many funny things that are tied to snow.

My special place is the Hermon Mountain in north Israel and therefore it is called “the country’s eyes”. It is the highest mountain is Israel. There is snow on it all winter and I like to go to watch, play and have fun in the snow in winter. There are also cable cars and I can arrive to the top of the mountain with it. When I am in the cable car, I see the amazing view and it is very beautiful. There are also beautiful plants on the mountain.
