Okinawa

Okinawa Churami Aquarium, Ryukyu Kingdom including Shurijo Castle, The Shisa -- all of these are here in Okinawa. Ryukyu was established in the southern seas of Japan. Ryukyu began exchanges with China, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia, and prospered as a pacific state. The perfect blend of domestic and foreign culture created a dynamic Ryukyu culture. Many summit meetings between East and West have been held here. (See pictures of summit leaders at the bottom.)
