Kisumu Lakeside market

I am Oliver a student in Kisumu Kenya. My mother sells pots at the Kisumu Lakeside market. It is an Open market. Traders including my mom lay their trade goods out in the open for all to see and buy.
I love this place for the following three reasons.

1. The sounds of people who buy and sell at the market. In Kenya people speak diffrent vernacular tribal languages. You should be their to listen to what they say! It is amazing how thousands of people communicate in a dozen plus languages. it reminds me about the tower of babel in the Bible.

2. The waters of the Lake victoria that sorround the market. The breeze from the lake makes me happy. i just go to the market to feel the breeze.

3. The diffrent wares on sell: You should see the things that we trade in! They range from fishing nets to washing stones, to cattle, to pots. We have on sell all cereals, vegetables and fruits. But more so many food stuffs especially my favourite dish which is known as Mbuta and Ugali! I advice you to visit Kisumu. Or just send me mail and I will email you pictures of the Kisumu Open Market.
