A Surprised Christmas Present

            This Christmas my dad will never forget. My grand father in Mexico, after ten years not seeing my dad, has now decided to come and spend Christmas with us in Texas. They did not see each other for a long time because my dad had left Mexico for Houston to give my sister and me a better life. He could not go back to Mexico until he got his legal papers.

My dad did not know that his father was coming. My mom, my sister and I were planning for their reunion. We just told my father that we would give him the best present this year. He just laughed and left for the kitchen.

This gave us the chance to get my grandpa inside the house and sit him down in the living room waiting for the moment to see my dad. We told my dad to come to the living room because his present was waiting for him. He came running expecting to see a big present, but to his big surprise, he saw his dad sitting there looking at him. He couldn’t believe his own eyes.  My dad’s face turned red and he hugged my grandpa. Tears started coming out of his eyes. In that moment I felt so happy to see that my grandpa and my dad finally had the chance to see each other after so many years.

This present was indeed the best one for my dad. He will forever remember this Christmas, and I will never forget his face full of happiness.Our family has an unforgettable memory.
