Himeji Castle Festival [Oshiro Matsuri] Enter here...

This is the biggest festival at Himeji with over 350,000 people attending. They enjoy the procession of the Feudal Lords and the Parade of the Queens of Himeji Castle. There is a grand dance late into the night. Other events include Noh theatre (outdoors by firelight), Taiko drum performances, and a fair like atmosphere. All together it is two days of celebration of music, dance, craft and tradition.
