Spring: Life returns

That first warm day when we notice the leaf buds swell on the tree, or the crocus push up through the soil, gives hope to our spirit. Spring collaboration with Global Dreamers, including the Cherry Festival at Himeji Castle. Experience the infiorate [carpet of flowers] in Kobe and enjoy the finished works of art: Kitanozaka

The story of Joseph Hiko, a Japanese boy who became an American citizen, met three presidents and is considered the father of Japanese journalism.

Junior high students say farewell to their school, teachers, and younger classmates. Springtime also is when the Odyssey of the Mind competition is held. Julian's Odyssey team wins the State level. A new school year begins in Japan!

Yanagawa, it's famous canals and the hinamatsuri displays. In Dazaifu, visit the Kanzeonji Temple, or perhaps take a trip to Karatsu Castle. Stop in Hakata, or perhaps go to Koshein stadium for the high school baseball tournement. Spring break is here and many travel to Osaka to Universal Studios.

Israel celebrates 60 years as a nation on May 14. Gaya, a student at Ein Ganim, writes about peace. Students express thoughts about educational rights.

Class 2c [Gimnazium #4] takes a trip to the local heat and power plant. May is a special month and students have a constitution assembly to learn and remember. Soon they will be going to Greece on a class trip; students had to learn much before going about the country and some basic Greek. Here they are taking their final tests. Do you wish you could be on the trip?

Golden Week in Japan (early May) is a time of relaxation and/or travel. Enjoy a baseball game, or visit a new city and meet online partners.

Julian's 8th grade studies the 1920s. Japan's Edo Tokyo Museum Special Exhibition: The Perry & Harris Exhibition: the dawn of U.S.- Japan relations. While in Tokyo, purchase some electronics in Akihabara Electrical Town! Spend a day at Tokyo Disney or relax AND learn in Uneo Park.
