Winter: Holidays, happiness, hybernation
In the winter, we have a harder time getting up
and out to school or work because it is dark outside so cozy inside.
That may be one of the reasons that most cultures have mid-winter
holidays and festivals...We hope your enjoy our holiday
cards; the singing byJulian's Carolers, and
the parent/community performance [with video]
and class party at
Gimnazjum #4. Also students did a special
performance for parent's
in January. Inami students celebrate the
January New Year's holidays with a game of Kurata.
In collaboration with our partners
at Ein Ganim, enjoy the "Giving" project
with thoughts from around the world. Also in celebration of Valentine's
day, be sure to visit "With
Love from You to Me. [a work in progress]
Be sure to get
your fish for the Holidays and be prepared to welcome in the Year
of the Rat. Shops are closed for 3 days while
celebrating New Years, so people are very busy shopping the
days before. The first day of 2008 at Kobe
Central Catholic Church and at Ikuta Shrine.
Chinese New Year celebration: Kobe's Chinatown
Gimnazjum #4
goes on a trip every year. In preparation for that
trip, students learn and "earn" money
for the trip!
Students of Gimnazjum # 4 take part in 'Odyssey
of the Mind' and they are
quite successful in it. Drama classes attend the play: Chicago!
The whole class goes to the museum on
a field trip.
On 13 Feb. class 3a went to see the Pharaohs'
Curse exhibition.
Learning about WWII first hand from
those who were there, students at Gimnazjum #4 also share what
they have learned with other students around the world. From Inami School,
our friends sent photos of the Korean War Memorial and pictures from
WWII.
