During its meeting on January 10, 2017, the District 97 Board of Education approved the two referenda questions that will be placed on the ballot on April 4, 2017. The first would call for a one percent limiting rate increase totaling approximately $13.3 million and the second would call for the issuance of $57.5 million in school building bonds.
We will be using this site and a variety of other resources between now and April to share information about the referenda and their potential impact on our students, schools and community. We will also be conducting outreach to help ensure that people have the information they need to make an informed decision when they go to polls in a few months. We encourage individuals to check back here on a regular basis for updates. In the meantime, you can access a presentation featuring the most current information about the referenda by clicking here.
