Our first trimester has ended. All grades are posted and final.

Second semester:

My schedule for the second semester is as follows;

At Julian; Teach 1st. 3rd. and 4th.

At Brooks; Teach 6th. 8th. and 9th.

At Julian our second trimester curriculum will consist of a dance unit, a fitness unit, and a games unit.

At Brooks our second semester curriculum will consist of a dance unit, A Create a Game unit, a Volleyball unit, and a fitness unit where we will focus on strength training and fitness training.

All sport and activity classes start with a functional warm-up followed by instruction in specific sport movement skills then guided practice of those skills. The ultimate goal is to develop a skill level which is competent enough to utilize in a game situation. Game rules and basic strategies are taught for every activity.

Fitness classes focus on the basics of strength training and cardio-respiratory training. Training routines are taught which differentiate between strength, power, and muscular endurance. Basic anatomy and safe training principles are emphasized.

Cardio-respiratory training focuses on the introduction of heart rate training zones and knowing the benefits of maintaining the proper heart rate while either biking or running.
