Dear Parent/Guardian:
District 97's Technology department utilizes an email filtering system
designed to prevent unsolicited (SPAM) and potentially dangerous (virus
infected)
email from reaching our users and/or being sent from the District.
We feel you should be made aware of the following:
Email and any attachments sent by employees of Oak Park Elementary School
District #97 are believed to be free of any virus, worm, and/or malicious
attachments when sent. However, electronic mail messages and their attachments
may be infected during transmission. The recipient accepts full responsibility
for taking protective and remedial action about viruses and other defects.
The sender is not liable for any loss or damage arising in any way from
the message or its attachments.
All incoming email to District 97 addresses is filtered to eliminate
SPAM and malicious attachments. Although we have taken every precaution
to prevent legitimate email from being blocked, here are a few steps
you can take to further reduce that possibility:
- Refrain from using numbers in your email address.
- Refrain from using "special" characters, such as: & !
@ # % *, etc. in the subject or content of the message
- Always include a subject line in your transmission.
- Most importantly, if the message requires immediate action
or is time-critical - in ALL such cases - DO NOT rely on email -
contact the recipient via phone or personal visit.
If you believe valid email is not reaching a District 97 address or
a response has not been received in a reasonable amount of time, please
contact: postmaster@op97.org
Thanks for your immediate attention to this issue. Together, we can
work to ensure that this important communication tool is operating in
our collective interests.
