Lincoln staff and students held their annual Memorial Day Observance on Friday, May 25th.
During ACES (All Children Exercise Simultaneously) children from Lincoln School, across District 97, throughout Illinois, across the country, and around the world exercise together at the same time to help promote a healthy lifestyle.
The Lincoln Student Council, under the direction of Diane Comny, held a silent auction during the Lincoln Carnival to raise funds for the Haitian Children's Home. The project raised $800.
Ms. Slanina's students are hard at work learning about three-dimensional shapes using toothpicks and marshmallows.
2011 Hungry Minds Pasta Dinner There were 491 paid reservations and $2878 were raised. 50 5th grade students served at the dinner. Some of the charities that will benefit from the money are Wateraid, International Alliance Against Hunger, and Charity Water. Here is a list of local merchants who provided food -most donated. Donations included pasta (lots of variety), salads, bread, parm. cheese and shakers, $100 gift card to purchase food from Whole Foods.
