Holmes School raised funds for an area on the Holmes School Playground that meets the special needs of the students Trish Quane loved. Trish Quane was a Speech Pathologist here at Holmes for sixteen years, who died in a tragic accident in August of 2005. One of her passions was advocating for and including students with special needs in all school activities, especially outdoor opportunities. We honored her by creating a corner of our playground in her memory. It has a tree that was donated by her neighbors, swings designed for students with special needs, and an accessible picnic table on a brick patio that honors special people in our lives.
