Course Objectives and Description: Course participants will use a template designed specificlly for use by D97 teachers to create writing activities to use with students. The template has been designed with ease of use in mind. Everything is setup for you to be successful, just bring your content based writing ideas.

Prerequisites:

  • ·          Must know network login and password.
  • ·          Must identify a curriculum based area of study.
  • ·          May want to bring in photos of class activities, field trips or topics to write about. Internet photos will also be used.
  • ·          Should bring curriculum related materials to be incorporated into the writing, if applicable.

Suggested Enrollment: Minimum: 5 Maximum: 10

Audience: Teachers

Credit:

  • .2 credit workshop hours for lane change or stipend
  • .2 workshop hours/ 3 CPDUs for recertification

Method of Evaluation: Workshop participants will

  • ·          use a template to make and take usable projects which will be uploaded to the servers at all schools for student use.
  • ·          design a grading rubric for the project.
  • ·          submit a plan for implementation with students, assistance in the lab will be available.
