Dear Parents
and Students:
Welcome
to Julian! We know this will be an outstanding year for you and
your student. Many new achievements and experiences are on the
horizon.
This
Student-Parent Handbook provides information for families about our
school. We know that “everything” may not be included
in this handbook, so please contact your child’s teacher, assistant
principal, or me if you have further questions.
During
the first week of school, all students will be given a student planner
(assignment log). The planner facilitates students’ successes
by helping them organize their work. Teachers encourage students
to log their assignments each day. Parents may also wish to review
the planner on a regular basis in order to assist students in their
academic endeavors and homework completion.
This
year, Julian will continue with an emphasis on achievement, civility,
and school climate. Our focus on student learning and ways to
meet the needs of each student is always at the forefront of our efforts. In
advisory as well as throughout the school day, students will build
upon their understanding of citizenship, community, and personal responsibility.
Please
