For those of you that were able to attend Curriculum Night yesterday, I hope the time you spent with our teachers was informative and provided an opportunity to learn more about your student’s school day. Canvas (Learning Management System)
Teachers use Canvas, Julian’s Learning Management System, to post assignments and important information for their classes. Canvas enables teachers, students and families to communicate in a centralized location. Canvas allows teachers to share resources and assignments for students, offer multiple ways for students to complete and submit work, and provides a safe place for students to collaborate. The teachers update Canvas weekly with a team syllabus. Please open this document for step-by-step instructions on how to access Canvas as a parent observer.
PowerSchool (Student Information System)
PowerSchool is Julian’s online grade book, attendance and lunch money tool. You can check your student’s attendance record, class grades, status of assignments, lunch money account balance, etc. A link to PowerSchool is located on the Julian home page. Please open this document for step-by-step instructions on how to access the PowerSchool Parent Portal. If you have difficulties logging onto PowerSchool please contact the main office at (708) 524-3040 and our administrative assistants will help you.
