Newsletter for Week of December 15

Julian Middle School "Pays It Forward"

  • Over 1,900 individuals throughout the Oak Park River Forest Community completed a request to have a little holiday cheer spread to them. This event is coordinated through the Oak Park River Forest Community of Congregations and is also known as the Holiday Food and Gift Basket Program.
  • Julian sponsored over 50 families!
  • Each advisory picked one or two families to sponsor. The advisory bought and wrapped all the gifts for these families.
  • Our goal was to have 100% building participation so this means we have kids bring in gifts, tape, wrapping paper, wrap gifts, etc....so everyone is a part of it.
  • The work that went into coordinating this project occurred during advisory classes the past few weeks.
  • Gifts were delivered on Thursday, December 7.
