The Arch of Triumph is located in Paris, France. The Arch os 148 feet long, 50 meteres high, 45 meters wide. Its made out of marble and granite.

Why is this Rock on the Wall?
Why is the rock in the wall? Many people say it is because the honor of Napoleon. Others say Napoleon wanted to build a monument to signify the triumph of republican {French} armies.
Historical Information
The structure of the triumphal arch was designed by Jean Francois Therese Chalgrin (1739-1811) and completed in 1836 during the reign of louiss Philippe. The Arc de Triomphe is the world's largest triumphal arch.
The most famous of its sculptural relief's is La Marseillaise (1833-36) of Francois Rude. The Arc is an international symbol of France. Inside the Arch is a small museum documenting its history and construction. more...
