is this Rock on the Wall?
The rock from the General Post Office in Dublin Ireland is on the wall
because it was from the steps of GPO that Ireland declared its self its
own republic and was no longer part of England. Even though the leaders
of the rebellion were captured and killed the rebellion lived on. The
General Post Office is the most important building in the history of the

The General Post Office in Dublin Ireland was used as the headquarters
of the Easter Rising in 1916, when Padraig Pearse, James Connolly, and
the other signers of the the proclamation of independence, and

about 100 supporters armed with rifles made a stand for "The right
of the people of Ireland to the ownership of Ireland and to the unfettered
control of Irish destines."
