How does the cow live, what does it eat and drink, do you think it has any fun?

The cow eats grass, beef, and water. No, I don't think the cows have any fun because all they do is eat, sleep, and the females make the milk, and have babies. They don't get to watch T. V. or play board games, or any of the things that we do.

WHY DID YOU WANT TO WORK AT THE ZOO?

I love animals and I grew up on a farm so I was always with animals, and I know it would be hard for me to leave animals so I decided to work at the zoo.

HOW DO YOU LIKE WORKING AT THE ZOO?

I love working at the zoo. It's a joy to come here every day and see the animals.

DO YOU LIKE MILKING THE COWS?

I do not milk the cows. I work somewhere else in the zoo.

HAS THE COW EVER TRY TO HURT YOU?

The cows never really try to hurt anyone. Everything is so new and different for the cow so it might kick or move around, but we don't think it is purposely trying to hurt us.

DO COWS LIKE BEING MILKED OR ARE THEY STUBBORN?

Well this cow just started getting milked so this is all new for her, and we are not actually sure if she likes it or not.

DO YOU USUALLY GET A LOT OF MILK OUT OF THE COWS?

It really depends on how full her utters are, but we have been getting kind of a lot of milk from her.

IF SO HOW MUCH?

Well it's different everyday.

HOW DO YOU KNOW WHEN YOU ARE DONE?

When the utter is full it is hard, but when her utter is not full it softens up.

HOW OLD DO THE COWS HAVE TO BE TO BE MILKED?

I'm not really sure because I don't work in this area, but you usually start when the cow has a calf.

DO THE COWS HAVE TO BE FEMALE?

Yes they have to be female.

CAN YOU TELL WHEN A COW IS HAPPY OR SAD?

I don't think there is s way to tell if the cow is happy or sad.

WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THE MILK WHEN YOU ARE DONE MILKING?

We usually just get rid of it or we give it to the other animals who need it.

IF THE COWS ARE HAPPY HOW DO THEY ACT?

There is really know way to tell if the cow is happy or not.

IF THEY ARE SAD HOW DO THEY ACT?

There is know way to tell if the cow is sad.

ARE YOU ABLE TO DRINK THE MILK RIGHT AFTER THE MILKING?

We would have to process it before humans drink it.

HOW MANY DIFFERENT TYPES OF COWS ARE THERE?

I'm not really sure, but I think there are a lot.
