The Friends of the Gamelan, a volunteer group of musisians, came to Lincoln
to do a concert for all and workshops with the third grade classes. Gamelan
is the traditional music from the islands of Indonesia. This assembly was
made possible by the Multicultural Resource Center grant.
The third grades learned about this Indonesian music during the holidays, they performed a version of the music during the Lincoln Holiday Sing. The students pictured are students from the third grade who got to participate in the workshop with the musicians.
