He prayed -- it wasn't my religion.
He ate -- it wasn't what I ate.
He spoke -- it wasn't my language.
He dressed -- it wasn't what I wore.
But when he laughed -- it was how I laughed,
and when he cried -- it was how I cried.

Irving Students travel the Globe at Passport 2005

On Friday, April 15th Irving students received a passport and went on an adventure around the world. They visited 12 countries represented by jsntaraparent "ambassadors" who are native to those countries, or who have travelled extensively there. Each ambassador brought dozens of interesting display items from their homeland such as flags, currency, clothes, shoes, dolls, toys, maps, food,
bowls, masks, instruments, pictures, and even a 16 ft. python snake skin!

Ambassadors also spoke a few words in the language of their country before stamping each child's passport.

The following countries were represented: Poland, Russia, Nigeria, Mexico, Ireland, Ghana, Brazil, Germany, China, India, Japan, and Dominican Republic.
