Dr. Lisa Carlos Resigns as Principal of Lincoln Elementary School

Dr. Lisa Carlos has resigned as the principal of Lincoln Elementary School to accept a principal position with Community Consolidated School District 62 in Des Plaines. Her final day with District 97 will be June 21, 2018.

The district is currently reviewing the options that are available for filling the position created by Dr. Carlos’ departure. These options include:

  • Conducting a formal search during the summer months to find a permanent replacement
  • Assigning someone to serve in the position on an interim basis until a permanent replacement is found.

Below is a statement from Superintendent Carol Kelley regarding this announcement.

I want to thank Lisa for her dedicated service to Lincoln Elementary School and District 97 during the past year, and wish her all the best in her new position with District 62. The search to find her replacement will begin in earnest with a comprehensive review of the options that are available for filling the position. Our goal is to complete this important task prior to the start of the 2018-19 school year. We will keep the community updated on the status of our efforts, and appreciate everyone’s continued support of our schools and the children we serve.
