Bravo Celebrating Its 10th Summer Season

The Bravo Performing Arts Academy is proud to premiere its 10th anniversary summer season. The program has run under the artistic direction of Tina Reynolds for 10 summers. To commemorate the anniversary, Bravo will be hosting an alumni review show which is scheduled to take place Saturday, July 7 at 7 p.m. In addition to the anniversary events, Bravo will be producing a three production season utilizing 200 students on and off stage.

Kicking off the season is Junior Bravo’s production of Aristocats, KIDS. Fifty-three students in fourth and fifth grade will put on this tale of feline friends and their Parisian adventures. Two performances of this show will enchant audiences on Thursday, July 5 at 7 p.m. and Friday, July 6 at 11a.m. and 7p.m.

The Bravo Performing Arts academy has a whopping 130 kids this summer that will make up two casts and one awesome crew. They will dance, sing and act in two hot tickets, The Little Mermaid, Jr. and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee was a smash hit on Broadway when it premiered in 2005. Now it is taking to the local stage to feature the quirks of smart young kids who are passionate about spelling. Come enjoy the fabulous music and side-splitting humor. The whole family is sure to L-O-V-E it!

The Little Mermaid, Jr. will take audiences Under the Sea with this Disney favorite. Bravo will illuminate the stage with a beautiful underwater landscape that features all the favorite characters! For the second year in a row, characters will be flying on stage. From sea to shore, kids will get the opportunity to work with this fun flying system that takes Bravo to new heights.

The Bravo Performing Arts Academy could not be more excited for this special anniversary summer to put on three spectacular productions and also take a look back into Bravo’s history. Ten years of successful theater programming that reaches out to so many families and kids. Bravo is truly fortunate for such a great 10-year run and can’t wait to kick off the next decade in song and dance. Come join all the fun this summer.
