District 97 Adopts Resolution Declaring Schools Safe and Welcoming for All Children

March 15, 2017

During its meeting on March 14, 2017, the Board of Education unanimously approved a resolution declaring District 97 a safe and welcoming school district for all children and families regardless of their immigration status. This is similar to the Welcoming Village ordinance that was passed by the Village of Oak Park last month, and the Welcoming Community/Safe Zone resolution currently being discussed by District 200.
