District 97 Launches Let's Talk Communication System

November 7, 2016

The vision for District 97 is to create a positive learning environment for all students that is equitable, inclusive and focused on the whole child. Our community has and will continue to play a critical role in advancing this vision. With this in mind, we have invested in a resource called Let’s Talk that our stakeholders can use to communicate with us about our departments and services, and share feedback on important issues and topics that will shape the future of our schools and help our students realize their full potential. The new system will also enable us to further foster a culture of collaboration by:

  • Facilitating two-way communication with stakeholders
  • Providing opportunities for active listening
  • Providing opportunities for stakeholders to give input about decisions that impact student learning
  • Providing a resource the district can use to communicate how stakeholder feedback will be utilized/implemented
  • Streamlining communication between the community and the district

You can access Let’s Talk via this website or by clicking here. At this time, people can submit comments, questions or feedback about a variety of district departments and services. However, we will be exploring the possibility of adding school-specific items to our Let’s Talk site. We will also be utilizing the input people provide to update, refine and/or expand the list of available topics. We will keep you updated on the status of these efforts. In the meantime, we look forward to hearing from you via Let’s Talk, and appreciate your continued support of our district and the children we serve.
