Julian Middle School Earns Blue Ribbon Award

The physical education department from Julian Middle School earned the Blue Ribbon Award from the Illinois Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (IAHPERD) for the second time since 2007. The Blue Ribbon Award, which is valid for five years, recognizes excellent physical education programs in Illinois based on evaluative criteria that include curriculum, instruction, facilities and equipment, safety, and the overall administration of the program. The school’s physical education staff will be formally recognized for this achievement during a ceremony at the annual IAHPERD convention this fall.
