Reception for Student Artists on July 31 at Oak Park Public Library

Thirty-four students from District 97’s elementary schools will be recognized during a special artist’s reception being held tomorrow from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Children’s Department at the main branch of the Oak Park Public Library. These students participated in Art Explosion, which was one of the classes offered in conjunction with the district’s School Daze summer program. Some of the work they created during the class was put on display at the library during the month of July. Tomorrow’s reception will serve as the culmination of the month-long exhibit. The instructors for the class were District 97 teachers Jennifer Raia and Judy Murawski and parent Sophia Lyman.
