Space Cadets' Corner

We will begin our in school Walkathon today. Your child will walk a total of 10K. We plan to walk every recess. Students are supporting the CROP Walk's cause to support local agencies in our community and the ending of world hunger. They do this by walking with me and collecting donations. Our class goal is $400 dollars. Together we can make a difference. Thank you for support our class in this valuable community service project.

The Hunger Walkathon West is Sunday,  May 5th at Pilgrim Church. Registration begins at 1 pm and the walk starts at 2 pm.

Reading Buddies

Students are paired with Ms. Huber's first-grade class. They enjoy reading fiction  and nonfiction books. It is the best of both worlds. Third-graders get to be "Big Kids" and the  first-graders get to have special time with a "Big Kid". Both have an  opportunity to develop fluency. It is great when community service comes together. By the way we read on Wednesdays starting around 1:30p.m. If you would like to join us stop by, we could always use another reader.
