Library Program

The D97 library program is made up of dynamic learning environments that function as the center of information literacy for the school community. Under the leadership of the school librarian, our program provides students and teachers access to literature, resources and technology while connecting classroom work to real-world events. We foster deeper, personalized learning by teaching children to evaluate and connect to an array of well-managed resources vetted by our school and public libraries. This learning includes understanding the need to be selective in seeking information sources. Our curriculum is adaptive and collaborative in response to classroom content and student interests and abilities. In this way, the D97 school library programs prepare students for college, career, community, and personal growth.
