Flash - QuickTime Movies
  1. Open a new Flash document.
  2. From menubar choose Modify document.
  3. Change the width and height to the movie dimensions (left illustration).
  4. Background color can also be changed now if desired.

5. Create three layers and name them as shown.
6. Click keyframe 1 of background layer
7. Write a movie title.
8. Add a button and it's action.

9. Import movie. (left)
10. Choose options as shown. (right)

This will take awhile - be patient.

11. Click yes to the number of frames.
12. Keep the default settings for Sorenson Video. (below) This will compress well with good quality.

 

 

Other Flash Tutorials
If the movie imports off stage, move your movie to fit the stage. Remember the gray area will not be visible when the Flash is exported.

13. Save the working file in case you need to go back and fix anything.
14. Last step - Export the Flash movie. (left)

Right is an icon for a saved flash movie. It must have the .swf extension to be readable by all computers.
A Flash movie can be viewed on its own or inserted into a DreamWeaver document. DreamWeaver has a Flash icon on its COMMON INSERT window.
