Why Define a Site?

Uploading is easier; changes can be made sitewide; organization is easier; links can be checked/changed site wide. Most aspects of the site can be managed from this site window! On the right is the local site (on the computer) on the left is the remote site (on the server).

You can define multiple sites. Seen here are 6 different site definitions. Each one is separate. It is easy to switch between sites.

Go to Site on the Menubar - Pull down to Define Sites. Create a New Site, Edit an existing one, Remove an old one.

To connect to a site via FTP, put your information in the boxes. Your host directory information will come from your service provider. In most cases click Use Passive FTP.

Change Links Sitewide
This is particularly helpful if something like and email address changes!
