Doing it! - Buttons

Motion Tween | Shape Tween | Symbols | Mask | Attach to Path | Buttons | Action Script

Buttons are started by going to Insert on the menubar and choosing New Symbol.

Choose Button, name it, click OK.

A timeline with 4 frames appears.

Create the button as it will first appear.

Click in the "over" frame and Insert - Keyframe.

Edit the button as it will appear when the mouse is over it.

Click in the "down" frame and Insert - Keyframe.

Edit the button as it will appear when you click down. Here I made it the same at the up button.

Click in the "hit" frame and insert keyframe.

There is nothing to do here but this defines the area that is the "hot spot" or "clickable" region.

To make the button work, you have to attach an Action Script. Go on and learn how.
